I have invested alot of money in my Native American Flutes, some I have purchased through the Oregon Flute Store , recently I purchased a Honker Flute case by Laughing Mallard and if you are as serious about protecting your investment then I strongly urge you to do as I did and purchase a Flute Case by Laughing Mallard. Well constructed , by far the best I have seen. As a performer I need not worry about getting my Flutes from show to show without worry about getting banged up, The Honker Does the job.

Regarding your cases. I had chance to see a 4" diameter case from
FLutecase.com. It was made well, but i did not care for the fleece
lining (it puts fuzzy things on your flute socks) or the weight. That case
was heavy! Plus I like the design where one can remove/unsnap the shoulder strap. The Flutecase.com bag had the shoulder strap sewn on. Also, the top zip lid had to be peeled upward to do the zipping, it then had to be peeled down and had two velcro tabs to keep it there. I much prefer your method of the lid being sewn on and lipped over.
Its simply more fitted/finished looking. Everyone who has chance to see any of my Oregon flute store cases has to touch them. They simply stare and keep talking about how nice they are and how cute or neat it is (the Hummingbird).

"I love my Laughing Mallard cases. I currently own four. They have traveled thousands of miles on the road with me. I've hiked with them down canyons and up mountains. I carried them in scorching heat, and driving rain and snow. When I'm on tour I never know what to expect, but at least I know my flutes are safe and sound. Just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying the cases you made for me last year. I like to take a flute along on hikes to special places, and the Hummingbird is just perfect for that. When I go somewhere to play with several flutes and both cases, the cases get as many comments from people as the flutes! I always get asked about them when traveling through airports.
The beauty and craftsmanship of your cases is incomparable, and they give me a wonderful feeling every time I pick them up. And knowing that they were made by you, and not in a factory halfway around the world, makes them even more special. Thanks again for all your help selecting my cases and fabrics, and for doing such a terrific job on them! As my flute collection grows, when I need more cases you can be sure that I'll be calling.
