Buffalo Horn Flute by Keith Glowka
Easy to play 5-hole flutes!

Buffalo Horn Flute by Keith GlowkaThe great wind blows and clouds move overhead as the mighty buffalo gather in formation. They can hear the wind sing its song through the dropped worn horns of their ancestors. Until now one could only imagine the song of these horns in their dreams. Listen to the horn!

Current owners include performing and recording artists, Jeff Ball, Ronald Roybal and Mark Holland. Listen to a live solo of the Buffalo Horn flute by Mark Holland

Keith has spent 17 years crafting and perfecting his flute making skills. He has redesigned his buffalo horn flutes by making the end caps out of wood and improving the finish with a new tough high gloss appearance.
These amazing flutes are made of real buffalo horns gathered from buffalo farming ranches. They are called Gemshorns, a early forms of the recorder. They are classed in the Ocarina family, but are tuned to a pentatonic scale. These 5 hole flutes vary in tuning since the horns are natural and vary in size. Each flute is handmade by artist Keith Glowka, and comes with a how to play brochure, a carrying bag, and buffing cloth. Each horn is highly polished, well tuned, and has a wonderful tone for recording or just playing.

Unique Flutes

Your cases do so much more than just protect my flutes - they give me a good feeling every time I look at them, and I get about as many comments from people about the cases as I do about the flutes. I was hiking in the Grand Canyon and after stopping to play was all packed up and just about to head on down the trail when a woman approached me. She saw the Hummingbird and asked if I had been playing the flute music they heard as they were hiking down the trail. It turned out that she and her husband had hiked to that overlook to scatter their son's ashes on the anniversary of his passing, and she asked me to stay and play for them while they did that. So the Hummingbird has added a lot to my flute experience in many ways!
