First Flute Limited Edition artistic rendering
The Limited Edition "First Flute" is an artistic rendering of what the first flute may have looked like. We have seen many old flutes and were very impressed with the look, feel, and voice of this flute.
|
This flute possesses a very clear voice with lots of volume and is numbered 14 out of 50. It is made out of aged Western Red Cedar with a block crafted using authentic buffalo rib bone and tuned to the key of Gm. If you examine some of the old flutes constructed in the old way of using the forearm and thumb measurements, it is amazing how closely they are to the key of Gm. This set includes a beautifully embroidered Pendleton Wool Bag, a numbered certificate of authenticity suitable for framing, and a CD of the First Flute Story narrated by Bill Kephart. The certificate is personally signed and numbered by flute maker Dwight Quiet Bear Lind and Jan Michael Looking Wolf Reibach. The spirits of the Cedar tree, Buffalo and Deer have joined together giving this flute its unique character.
We will be offering only this #14/50 here at the Oregon Flute Store.
