Brent from WoodSounds flutes has brought its cunning character to life with the detailed hummingbird block carved of Purple Heart. The flute is made from Oregon Myrtle Wood and accented with Purple Heart inlayed rings.
Those of you have worked with JoAnn over the years know she pays attention to details. This flute is no different. The realistic, true to life little hummer sits atop a myrtle wood base zooming downward as toward a flower. The design is elegant but the voice is loud and clear with a happy bright tone. This flute really belts it out! It will make your heart flutter and have everyone humming right along with you!
These are six-hole flutes tuned in the traditional minor Native American flute pentatonic scale.

My second flute from OFS arrived on June 25-09 (My first flute is the stunningly breathtaking dream flute created by Jeff Calavan) and I must say that it is simply an absolutely wonderful "Low B" flute from "Stellar" with a rich robust and deep resonance. I just love it. I can't wait to bounce all of its acoustics off the NYC's subway tiles! I've ordered flutes, and quivers and a microphone from you guys and all of your products have been just totally incredible.
