Mini Flute Microphone

After remaining virtually unchanged for over 6 years, Pick Up the World has finally achieved a new and improved version of our extremely popular mini-mike. This new version boasts an extended frequency range and a higher headroom, higher volume pre-amp module. The pre-amp is a new proprietary design that offers an even cleaner signal path and a more open sound then our previous model. The other important aspects such as high feedback rejection, universal signal output and ease of mounting have been retained in the new design.
The new improved microphone is available for $195.00.
This mini flute mike by Pick Up the World, is made in the USA. Many flute players and recording artists tested the mike including R.C. Nakai, Gary Stroutsos, Coyote Old Man and more. Everyone loved them! The Mini Mike is an extremely high quality, versatile, condenser microphone optimized for amplifying wind instruments. It offers fantastic performance features and tone with excellent frequency response and feedback elimination. Its designed to plug into virtually any type of amplifier, mixer, recording console, or stereo with a jack and provides a strong, clean signal achieving excellent results. The convenient Velcro strap was designed specifically for the Native American style flute allowing the mike to attach to the flute just below the sound hole. The microphone has an output wire that terminates with a mini plug that plugs into the small pre-amplifier box provided. The lightweight micro pre-amp attaches to your belt allowing over 900 hours of play on a single 9-volt alkaline battery. There is easy access to the volume control knob on top of the box. (PA cord/guitar cord from pre-amp box to output not included)

My first flute from the Oregon Flute Store arrived today, a black bamboo flute in E by James Galliland. It plays with beautiful overtones and a wonderful, lively breath. It easily reaches two notes above the octave, bright and true. It doesn't seem to get as wet as soon as my hardwood flutes. I also have a hardwood E flute and while I love its tone this bamboo flute really moves me. It's a bit quieter and a bit softer and it invites the ear in to listen. This flute is also so very beautiful to look at, and it weighs next to nothing.

Thank you so much for all your help and guidance, for packing and shipping this flute with such care, and for giving artisans like James Gilliland the best possible kind of place to bring their gifts to the public.
