We are thrilled to once again offer to you on a limited basis, flutes by Russ Venable. Russ is best known as the primary flute maker for Grammy award winner, Mary Youngblood. Mary has used his flutes extensively on most of her recordings. Russ also has the honor and distinction of having Mary perform with his flute at the grand opening of the Native American Smithsonian in Washington DC. This special flute was then placed on permanent display in the Smithsonian for all of us to view. We have represented Russ flutes over the years and have total respect for his talents. We will be showcasing Russ flutes on a first come basis on our Featured Product page as they come available. |
"Just back from Costa Rica. I took a nose dive down a flight of cement stairs with the flute carrier. My right knee and elbow skinned up but the flutes were just fine in the carrier. Someone also stepped on the carrier and of course it was stuffed into the overhead bin on the airplane and at least once someone tried to crush it with their carry on. Flutes traveled just fine. Thank you very much."
